Weeks 1 & 2- Creation Unit

Hey there homeschool mamas! Welcome to weeks 1 & 2 of our Kindergarten Homeschool! I am so excited to show you what we've done and how it's going every week! If you're curious about our curriculum, my son, or our homeschool room, check out this post!

Okay, so here's the deal: the first unit is on creation. It is written to take about 10 days. Those include some park days. I was so jazzed to start, I put it into 8 Days. Seven days for creation and one for review. So we technically started the week before planned. We are full steam ahead. So far, he has really had fun with his creation drawings. He likes to cut, color, and glue.

This whole curriculum has already gotten him more involved in nature. (It is called God's Creation for a reason!) He has had so much fun exploring insects, plants, trees, you name it!

He also really enjoys the songs we've been singing and learning. He loves to sing now while doing a puzzle, eating, in the tub, etc.

We also grabbed a summer literacy kit from the library. It had him stringing pool noodles and doing phonics fishing. Awesome for motor skills and reiterating his phonics review.

We also enjoyed time at a new splash pad. It has a man made creek that runs onto the splash pad. He & Nolan had a great time splashing around and exploring.

I'd say our first week was a success!
